Can someone identify this film? xx?

So it was on BBC 3 last night an it was basically about this girl who went to law school to get off with her ex (I think) Warner; only to find he was engaged to a really horrid girl called Veronica (?) Veronica invited the girl to a party and pretended it was a fancy dress party, which it wasn't. When she got there, dressed as a pink rabbit, she went to chat to Warner who said she wasn't smart enough to go to Law school. She got really upset and left the party to go and buy a laptop and get a lot better. We see her grow and make new friends and impress her teachers and then she wins a scholarship to help her lecturer with a murder case. The suspect is the girls ex fitness coach, Brook, who was accused of shooting her husband. The girl goes to the prison to find out Brooks aliby and discovers that she was having Liposuction when her husband was killed. The girl promises not to tell anyone Brooks shocking secret. That's when I had to turn the TV off. Someone please tell me what film this is?! I really loved it! xx Thanks x
