Would a dietary intake of 1300-1700 be a good range for weight loss?

Im male 19 years old, 5'11, 198 pounds. My short term goal is to lose 10 pounds, but 18 more all together. I lost 50 pounds but then i stopped exercising and eating right for a month and im ready to get back on it. I do tae-bo for approx 50 mins and will be doing it 5 times per week. I plan to eat around 1500 calories, but it may be around 1300 some days and 1700 other days. Is this an okay range to eat and lose weight?
