Should i keep pursuing this girl?

theres this girl i like who was in my university cl last semester and i havent seen or talked to her since then, which has been about 8 weeks and the school year is almost over. each time we talked in person, i've been really shy around her and she probably easily sensed it. but just a few days ago, i had a conversation with one of my friends in the same cl as her, so i decided to call her out of the blue and tell her i like her and he did also (even though he doesnt). she responded by saying she was 'shocked that smart guys would like me' since we're both really nerdy/socially awkward. but then i later mentioned that she should come hang out with us and she said yes. but today i asked her hang out with me alone,but she said shes really busy for the rest of the year but can hang out in the summer. should i keep pursuing and talkig to her, by finding her AIM sn on facebook, or just forget about her?
