Am I being sellfish by doing that?

okay so i got a debt-card yesterday and i told my best friend and now she wants to get one. I dont want her to copy me so i told her if you copy me im going to copy you. But im not sure if she really wants one or not but she doesnt want me to copy her and buy something out of her stuff. They are a very jealous family and as soon as you show them something they get extremely jealous. Do you think i should just let her get one although she never though abut getting one until i did.
