Why is Nitrogen an important gas????

Because air contains 78% of nitrogen and 21% oxygen, large amount of water vapor and carbon dioxide. Ozone layer protects world from harmful UV lights of the sun. Argon is also in the air and is used in light bulbs. Methane is used in industry.
